Atlanta Erlang Meetup 09/10/2008
The Metro Atlanta Erlang Users Group, some single digits strong, will meet for the first time on September 20, 2008 at the Brick Store Pub in Decatur, GA. For now, we are planning on meeting at 7pm. CommentsLucian Wed, 10 Sep 2008 22:34:07 I just remembered that I'd love a library for D (or integrated in tango, why not) that provided share-nothing light threads with channels between them like stackless python and erlang. Thu, 11 Sep 2008 07:23:12 How long do you suppose you'll be meeting? I live in Montgomery AL (2.5 hour drive) and I'm wondering if it's worth me driving up there? I've only hacked on Erlang for about a month or so and really enjoy it so far. Thu, 11 Sep 2008 07:32:12 @David Parker, Not sure... If people are going to drive a ways, we can start even earlier (informally). I imagine it will run a couple of hours, depending on how interesting the conversations are and how freely the beer flows. Mon, 15 Sep 2008 08:17:31 Given my distance from ATL (5hrs round trip) and the fact that I'm still pretty new to Erlang, I'll probably skip out on this one. Have fun! Tue, 16 Sep 2008 19:16:02 @David Parker, drat. Okay, well next time then. Leave a Reply |
